Ok, been a while since I last put up a tutorial... or anything related to space.

Ok, now we move on to making planets. This is not the only way to make planets in photoshop, but I figured I could put up a tutorial in reference to how I do most of my planets.

Sorry for the extreme verbosity, I'll try and do more show rather than tell in the next tutorial that I put up.

Hope it can be of some use to ya, enjoy!

See ya around the galaxy...

Nice tut! Bit different than the way I do things, way more detailed :D

So very lazy
thanks! yeah, like I mentioned there are multiple ways of doing things, but I figured it was high time to put something like this up (especially since so many people had asked me how I do it, lol).

But I am glad you like it. :)

glad to know you would have found it helpful though :)

Nice, but I have already seen it in the Greg Martin's planet tutorial, except that Greg makes his own pattern for the planet, using a brush and some texture on it.
cool, I don't think I've seen that tutorial though. I had thought about doing a tutorial for making planets by brushing the entire surface structure, but I don't really have the time to do so.

Thanks for the comment though, :)
